Shift details: Full-Time Exempt Position Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Sign-on Bonus: $15,000 Job Summary: The Director of Outpatient Services develops and administers a comprehensive outpatient program that responds to the community needs and supports Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital’s overall mission, philosophy, and goals. In summary, the Director manages all activities involving outpatient referrals from initial call through completion of treatment plans, coordinating caseloads, developing and managing the outpatient staff, and marketing the program. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibility for managing, organizing, and completing tasks, including setting up the Outpatient departmental system for its completion through delegation to office or outpatient staff. Evaluates programs and activities to ensure patient/customer satisfaction and quality. Develops/revises/updates departmental policies and procedures, work processes and staffing plans. Establishes and monitors departmental performance indicators, goals and objectives that are consistent with WBHH strategic objectives, mission, vision and values. Develops and maintains management reports for senior leadership and medical staff as needed. Evaluates the outpatient program on an ongoing basis and ensures all aspects meets regulatory compliance standards. Hires, evaluates, counsels, develops and administratively manages the department. Who are we: Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (WBHH) provides psychiatric stabilization and dual diagnosis treatments for Children, Adolescents and Adult populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Our goal is to ensure patients and their loved ones feel comfortable and are well informed regarding treatment options. Our state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located in Westborough near the intersection of Route 495 and Route 9. The hospital operates 24/7 with multiple shifts available. Requirements Education and/or Licensure: Master’s degree required Licensure required for this position, LMHC, L(I)CSW, LMFT, you must provide proof to practice in the State of Massachusetts. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a mental health setting preferred. A minimum of two (2) years management experience in a mental health setting preferred. General knowledge of areas of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment required. Evaluates all wounds upon admission and ongoing to determine treatment plan and provide early problem identification. Provides consultation and/or assessment on patients with pressure ulcers. Consults on any wound that does not show measurable signs of healing within two weeks. In consultation with the physician, assists staff in developing an appropriate plan of care for comprehensive wound management. Makes recommendations to the physician for changes to wound care orders and provides evidence based research support as needed. Reviews charts of patients with wounds. Ensures that wound assessments, care plans, and treatments are clearly and correctly documented and that appropriate wound related treatments are being provided. Investigates all cases with adverse events related to wounds. Participates in clinical outcome monitoring, follow-up and agency performance improvement initiatives. Serves as a consultant to facility staff through training and support, enables clinical staff to effectively assess wounds, recommend appropriate protocols, and initiate plans of care. Manages Wound Treatment Team to ensure there is adequate coverage and employees are performing tasks based on expected standard Collaborates with Central Supply staff to maintain a cost-effective wound care formulary. Evaluates products and cost effectiveness and makes recommendation. Reviews and develops with all involved disciplines plan for discharge. Evaluates culture results and conference with physicians on Plan of Care. Involved in marketing the wound care program through outcomes and relationships with physicians. Licenses/Certification: Current state LVN or RN license. Professional certification WOCN or CWS, or obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Experience: Five (5) years licensed professional nursing experience performing wound care in a SNF, acute, or subacute setting.
