The Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the collection, entry, integrity, analysis, and reporting of program data to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. The Data Manager collaborates with program managers and staff to ensure data-driven decision-making and effective program implementation. Responsiblities: Maintain and manage comprehensive data systems using ChildPlus to support compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, DCYF/ECEAP, and other funding and licensing requirements. Develop and implement systems to ensure accurate and timely data entry across all content areas (enrollment, health, family services, education, disabilities, etc.). Create, maintain, and update dashboards, tracking tools, and monitoring reports for program leadership and stakeholders. Perform regular audits of data to ensure integrity, completeness, and accuracy; resolve discrepancies in collaboration with relevant staff. Reporting & Analysis: Generate routine and ad-hoc reports for internal use and external reporting (e.g., PIR, state reports, monitoring reviews). Analyze trends, patterns, and performance outcomes to support strategic planning and continuous quality improvement. Prepare data for Board, Policy Council, funders, and community presentations. Training & Support: Train and support staff in effective data entry and usage of ChildPlus, including development of user guides and best practices. Serve as the primary point of contact for all ChildPlus-related questions, troubleshooting, and customization requests. Coordinate with IT or software vendors to ensure system functionality and implement updates or enhancements. Program Coordination: Participate in internal monitoring, self-assessment, and strategic planning activities. Minimum 2 years of experience with data systems in a nonprofit, Head Start, or early learning environment.
