The Law Office of Kathleen Day is a small, fast-paced, and very busy Social Security Disability law practice in Corpus Christi. For over 25 years, we’ve been dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities obtain the benefits they deserve. Our clients are individuals with disabilities who need compassionate and reliable support navigating the complex Social Security system. We value attitude, dependability, and attention to detail. The right candidate needs to be empathetic, patient, organized, eager to learn, motivated, and detail-oriented. This person must also have a flexible personality and does not fluster easily under pressure. This role requires someone who can stay calm, focused, and effective when managing multiple tasks or dealing with clients. You will be working as part of a team, strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude are essential. Teamwork is highly valued in our office. REQUIREMENTS 1. 1 year of general office experience preferred (we are willing to train the right person) 2. Basic computer and typing skills (40 wpm) 3. Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Standard 4. Must be willing to adhere to our business casual dress code 5. Fluent in Spanish (understand and speak) An average day in this role includes heavy contact with clients in person & by phone, government agencies, and medical providers. You will be responsible for data entry using our case management system (Prevail), screening, scheduling appointments, scanning, faxing, and mailing, merging correspondence, and working in programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Adobe Standard. You’ll also request medical records and prioritize/organize tasks for a high-volume caseload. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out, looking to gain legal office experience or to transition into a new career field. Corpus Christi application only – this is an in-person position. The wage per hour is $16 The hours M-F 8:30-5:30 in person. No weekends 3 month probationary period.
