Restoration - Lead Carpenter (Portland)

1. Assist with coordination of all job site construction activities and supervision of JRJ employees 2. Check in with the designated onsite contact at the intervals defined at the beginning of the project. 3. Coordinate subcontractors work on your project as needed. 4. Have a good work plan. 5. Be able to teach and train my employees the J.R. Johnson way to do things. 6. Assuring the safety of both the employees and non-employees who are in or near the work area. 7. Maintain communication of project status with supervisors, customers, subcontractors and employees. 8. Ensure surrounding areas/vehicles are protected before we start work in an effort to prevent damage. 9. Inspect tools and ladders daily to ensure they are in good working condition. 10. Have a complete, clear understanding of the scope of work for your project and ask your supervisor for additional information if you don’t. It is your responsibility to get the information before you move forward on the project. 11. Be on time to any scheduled appointments/meetings. Be fully prepared to productively participate in the meeting. 12. Ensure workmanship meets or exceeds JRJ standards and inspect work up and through final inspection. 13. Understand the materials you are using, their application and installation requirements as well as how they work together. It is your responsibility to get the information before you move forward on the project. 14. Plan ahead on your project. Be pro-active not reactive. 15. Be courteous and professional in your communication with residents, clients, consultants, and inspectors. 16. Identify, communicate and solve problems. If the problems are outside your ability to solve, ask for assistance immediately. 17. Report accidents immediately to my supervisor and Human Resources. Follow company protocol for all accidents and injuries. 18. Drive safely, courteously and obey traffic and parking laws. 19. Make sure jobsite are secured daily 20. Have and observe the project Safety and Fall protection plan at all times. 21. Verify all hours are entered into the timekeeping system correctly, on a daily basis. 22. Hold and document weekly safety meetings including noting 2 site specific topics weekly. 23. Remain calm in stressful situations. 24. Attend the weekly safety meeting. 25.
