Maintenance (Brookline)

Maintenance Under the direction of the Property Manager, or other appropriate administrative staff, the position is responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment; including the development of a preventative maintenance plan, urgent repairs and general carpentry work. Must be conversant with the operation of all physical aspects of the property, work diplomatically to solve problems, be responsive to residents, and able to work as a team member with the Property Manager, and other property management staff members. Should be proactive by making periodic inspections of the property, diagnoses problems, and initiate the necessary action. Knowledge of building maintenance and repair methods, materials, tools, and equipment. · Undertakes routine maintenance. · Ensures that safety standards and regulations are observed. · · Maintains inventory of materials and supplies. · Performs common area repairs when appropriate. · Paint. · Performs other duties and tasks as deemed necessary by management. · Responds to emergency calls and rectify existing condition when directed by employer or office staff. Have a high school diploma or equivalent required; at least two (2) years training or three (3) years’ work experience in related trade. Must have experience in one or more of the following fields: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, etc. Must have personable and service oriented outlook. Basic computer skills. Valid driver's license .Must be able to pass a background check.
