Calvin & Company Construction LLC. Based out of Bend, Oregon. We are hiring for skilled craftsmen with an eye for detail to join our framing company. We specialize in framing big timber custom homes with high expectations from clients to produce the best product around. Sí, hablo poco español. Successful candidates will have: -Ability to Read and Write. -Basic knowledge of framing and carpentry and willingness to learn. -A desire to always do your best work -Full time availability—43 hour/week minimum availability. -A strong desire to learn the trade and become a competitive tradesman -Maintain a clean workspace and clean up daily. -Your own tool bags and basic hand tools (Hammer, cats paw, etc.) +Company provides expendables (Tape measures, chalk lines, ect.) as well as winter rain/snow gear after successful year of employment We are hiring for full time employees only. Work weeks are 43 hours minimum. We work Monday- Thursday 7am-5pm and Fridays we work till noon to button up for the weekend. Pay is once a month on the 11th. Greenhorns start at 24, leads make 35+ Pay rate is based on experience, effort, and job performance. Tbd We run a small efficient crew that works as a team and rely heavily on each other. We need all hands-on deck to get these jobs done. Those that are sick often, or calling in sick often need not apply. We work hard; and laziness, tardiness, or plain lack of effort will not make the cut. We set our expectations high so we can give our clientele the best building experience possible. We expect our employees to be articulate, well-groomed and dressed, company shirts and hoodies are provided after a successful 180 days. We are setting the highest standard of building in Oregon, and pride ourselves on our craftsmanship and the quality of our building experience. Employees must possess a valid Oregon driver's license, and all vehicles present on our job sites must be clean of mud and debris and running properly. We understand that things break, so we offer rides to the jobsite, and meet up at the shop before work. We often use telehandlers to lift heavy things; all applicants must be insurable on company vehicles. We build what other framers dream of, and we spend a lot of time teaching the trade to ensure each team member can turn out high quality framing. This is an apprenticeship position, we are investing time to teach the trade and pass on knowledge to you, while paying hourly wages. In return we expect you to show up early, work hard, stay off your phone, and keep busy. A few hard zero tolerance rules: We often work in restricted-access residential communities with noise ordinances. Vehicles must be kept clean, and vehicle music must be turned down before approaching gate access. No headphones. Don't even ask. Music will be on the jobsite speakers when permitted. This is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. Full awareness of your surroundings is required and is the only way to ensure we all get home safely. Stay off your phone during working hours. Labor cost is high, material cost is high, the job is dangerous. The job requires a team effort for safety. we don't allow scrolling on the jobsite, period. We are contracting for the highest end clientele.
