24hrs/Week Flexible Day Job (Boca Raton)

Looking for either a full time, or part time worker. We do a variety of different services. This position is great for a recently retired person that wants some extra spending money. I also have enough work for a full time person as well. We work in the golf industry as our primary business. We also do tree work, and plow snow. We are busy year round with our snow supply business. You should live within 20 minutes of the Orchard Rd exit off of I 88. The ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle, and have a drivers license is also helpful. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined and has a basic knowledge of equipment operations. A good work ethic is a must. The work is not hard, but diligence, and attention to detail is important. As you grow with our company you may be given additional duties to further raise your compensation. Are you ready to take off on your next career with us? Job Summary The work of a TWU Cargo Ramp loads and unloads cargo on and off aircraft; the transporting of cargo between terminals and aircraft. Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program. Comply with WFS site security plan for assigned warehouse. This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Responsibilities • Load and unload aircraft of cargo weighing up to 80 lbs. in and out of aircraft within confined cargo areas, push, pull, and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs. on rollers with/to aircraft. • Transport cargo to and from aircraft driving 3,000 lb. vehicle using depth perception to negotiate vehicle with attached carts through congested area. Read "off-load" sheets to determine destination of cargo. • While performing aircraft push-out and/or towing functions, engage in proper specific ground to cockpit communication via hand signals and voice commands, with and without, the assistance of sight or visual aids. • Receive, deliver, and physically handle freight and company material, export at the designated express docks, • Completion of forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations of the functions described. • Ability to confront and question unauthorized personnel in secured areas, and report their presence to authorities as necessary. • Reports to work on a regular and timely basis. Minimum Requirements • HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent. • Must be at least 18 years of age • Ability to work in a high-noise level environment. • Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids. • Valid driver's license • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off **This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), a labor union which requires joining the TWU and paying union dues.** Preferred Skills • Ability to successfully communicate with others. • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
