Soco Moves LLC is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and motivated individual to join our moving team on an as-needed basis. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with flexible part-time hours. Pay: $20–$25/hour (based on experience) + customer tips Why Work With Us: Quick Pay – Paid on a per-job basis. Most jobs are paid the same day or next day (never more than 4 days). Flexible scheduling on an as-needed basis Earn extra income through tips No taxes withheld — you receive your full hourly wages. What You’ll Be Doing: Assisting with residential moves ranging from small studios to large homes Job lengths vary: some as short as 2 hours, others up to 12+ hours Lifting and carrying heavy furniture and boxes Wrapping and protecting furniture to prevent damage Assisting with packing when needed Carrying items up and down flights of stairs Occasionally traveling outside the immediate San Diego area (gas compensation provided for longer-distance jobs) May also assist with local junk removal jobs What We’re Looking For: Moving experience preferred (especially if you’ve worked for a moving company before, or currently do and want extra work) Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Experience driving box trucks is a plus Physically fit, enjoys physical labor, and in good shape Motivated, dependable, and ready to work when opportunities come up (we need people who truly want the hours, not those who disappear when it’s time to get to work) Strong work ethic and positive attitude Bonus: Able to be available on short notice and flexible enough to adjust your schedule when needed Bonus: Owning a pickup truck for certain jobs.
