PAGANI STUDIO is a luxury lighting design and manufacturing studio located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The studio has been producing high-end lighting fixtures for 2+ decades, here in Brooklyn. Our clientele spans the residential, commercial, and nautical sectors. We design, fabricate, and assemble our product here in house, in a small team setting. We are looking for an on-site (NOT remote) part time PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER with a strong lighting fixture engineering background. We design large scale lighting fixtures and a background in structural engineering is preferred. You must be an excellent communicator, a good team player, who is detailed focused, who values fine craftsmanship and who is friendly. The role demands a blend of engineering and design development, and working closely with the designers/ principals, and the production and purchasing team. YOU - must have experience with working in a small to medium team setting, you must have strong SolidWorks skills, and knowledge of lighting fixture design and LED lamping technologies is strongly preferred. You must be meticulous about file organization and naming convention. Fabrication knowledge and experience is a plus. DUTIES INCLUDE: -This is NOT a remote position. -Lighting fixture engineering and development: Tag teaming with designers and production team to engineer and develop standard and custom lighting fixtures. -Production and purchasing team support -Generate BOMs & shop drawings -R&D and Sourcing: Vendors, materials, parts, hardware, LED components, lamps and lamp parts, shop equipment. -Tech support for installers We are a small company and we are looking for someone who is friendly and works well with people. ***Cover letter REQUIRED to apply, explaining why you are well suited for the role. ***Part time position available immediately. The successful candidate must have experience managing ecological construction projects such as wetland construction/rehabilitation, stream and shoreline restoration, invasive species control, habitat creation/restoration, native planting and seeding, and green infrastructure projects.
