I run a software company that develops software for an open-source project called OpenEMR, an application that runs medical clinics, hospitals, and other medical organizations. I am looking for a part-time 20 hours per month junior developer to assist me and my company with completing tasks for OpenEMR. As time progresses this has the ability to turn into more hours. You would be a 1099 contractor for my company. Position Summary: Provide technical design, consultation, information and assistance to internal and external customers under direct supervision to insure that project complies with all engineering standards. The designer will work under the supervision of more senior engineers. Work will be completed in concert with the stated project requirements, all current codes, as well as Prime Electric Engineering Standards. Applicant will be responsible for designing, developing and producing permit and construction documents for electrical systems. Interface with various team members, particularly the client, architect, and mechanical contractor/engineer • Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors • Perform other duties assigned by Director of Engineering Minimum Job Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering a plus • Minimum 2-Years of experience in electrical systems design a plus • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word & Excel • Experience with Revit & Navis Manage a plus • Reasonable knowledge of the NEC as well as building codes and ordinances • Broad knowledge and experience with power and lighting design • Understanding of sustainable design and LEED Documentation a plus • Documents and archives work pursuant the Prime Electric standards
