Franklin Armory is expanding and in need of a new full-time Armorer. As an Armorer you will build, QC and test firearms and accessories in the Franklin Armory product line. Mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills are a must. This position is at our Minden, NV facility. Minimum Requirements: 2-year degree in gunsmithing Not Required but a plus In-depth knowledge of semi-automatic AR style rifles required Machining experience preferred, but not required Possess personal tools to perform the job Must have previous Armorer experience Must be drug-free Physical Demands: Required to lift up to 50 lbs. Moderate walking, standing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside, around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts. Frequent exposure to fumes, dust, and noise. Work Environment: Test fire production firearms according to company procedures and productivity goals as well as internal quality specifications Maintain the highest level of safety and cleanliness in and around the product range and assembly area. Support final assembly by performing visual and functional checks to ensure quality and accuracy of pistols. Communicate with shift supervisor and/or line leads to potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety including equipment and product issues. Ensure that all documentation is correct including quantities and other records. Report defective parts/equipment or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Work performed in a shop environment. Must be present in regular attendance and have a flexible work schedule. Ensures compliance with legal- and company ordinances in his/her areas of responsibility. Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc. Maintain knowledge of QC requirements and procedures to ensure proper disposition of nonconforming parts. Keeps his/her standard of knowledge up-to-date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education measures. Extensive background checks are performed. We have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician on First Shift (Monday through Friday, 7am – 3:30pm) Successful candidates for this position will have experience maintaining injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and facilities. Also works well with others, and maintain our cooperative, fast paced production environment; perform duties with a high level of craftsmanship; be detail oriented with an eye and a heart for our customers and our company. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: General: Controls, schedules, and executes all required equipment maintenance (preventative and otherwise). Controls, schedules, and executes all required facility maintenance and repairs. Maintains Triad ERP Database to document repairs. Directs activities for assigned ancillary personnel. Generates Purchase Orders, and as needed, acquires all necessary supplies. Generates, issues, and maintains Preventative Maintenance Work Orders. Leadership: Be able to listen and direct small groups. Work inside of the safety program with performance of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safety huddles. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time on concrete floor Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel and climb ladders and staircases. Must be able to lift up to 50- 100lbs. Must be able operate mobile equipment and drive company vehicles Must be able to work at elevated heights (on ladders, boom lifts, roof tops etc.) Qualifications: 3+ years as maintenance technician in manufacturing environment Must have own tools and be willing to react to off-hour emergencies.
