Description

This position is classified as an hourly position within the context of Washington State law. Under the general direction of the Airport Maintenance Supervisor, conducts daily airport safety inspections, wildlife control activities and maintenance assignments as required at the Pangborn Memorial Airport, Waterville Airport and Mansfield Airport. The incumbent also provides airport fire protection services. Fire protection services include standby coverage for scheduled commercial flights and responding to a variety of emergency incidents at the airport, including but not limited to aircraft crashes. May act as a frontline representative of the Airports in dealing with tenants and the general public. Pangborn Memorial Airport is an essential public facility open 24 hours per day. As such, this position requires the ability to be on-call and work evenings, weekends and/or holidays and may require accrual of overtime hours.
