Journeyman Electrician

We are currently hiring an experienced Electrician who will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the setup and maintenance of electrical infrastructure. This includes the installation of electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting electrical malfunctions and blackouts, and performing repairs on appliances. Given the inherent risks involved in this role, we require individuals who prioritize safety and adhere to precautionary measures. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience working with various electrical devices and systems. Our overarching goal is to ensure the establishment and upkeep of reliable electrical connections, reducing the likelihood of accidents and optimizing the usability of electricity across all facilities. Responsibilities Execute plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units Requirements Proven experience as an electrician Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician Valid license to practice profession

As an Experienced Residential Electrician you will: rough wire new homes according to the BCEW paperwork package and applicable NEC and IRC codes complete final phase installations and troubleshoot non-operational equipment document incomplete ‘To Do List’ items on the BCEW Portal order material required to complete tasks using the material request application on the BCEW Portal perform warranty repairs according to BCEW work orders Requirements We're looking for a candidate with significant residential experience who is looking to take the next step in their career with a professional organization. You must be: Experienced, meaning you can complete all phases of new residential work in compliance with all applicable codes. Vehicles include: Box Truck, For lifts, Van, Pickup trucks, etc. · Assist with the maintenance work, cleaning and repairs for company vehicles and equipment of all types to ensure all are in working order. · Inspect material upon delivery to the warehouse to identify any damage. · Record and report the material amount or count received. · Operate material handling equipment such as hand jacks, wheeled carts and forklifts safely and as needed. · Lift, carry and move material and equipment as needed. · Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables. · Maintain and ensure the warehouse is kept clean, safe, and organized. · Work effectively to meet or exceed schedule goals while maintaining high quality standards. · Maintain clean driving record and abide by all transportation laws. · Be mindful of parking work vehicles when on job site and back at shop to avoid tickets and penalties. · Must be able to handle multiple tasks and to work independently. · Must be able to work early mornings · Be able to work nights and weekends when necessary. · Keep records/logs of vehicles and equipment. · Must be a team player both in the field, in the shop and in an office environment. · Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity. Basic Qualifications · Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a driving background check. · High school diploma or equivalency certificate. · Prior experience in the construction field a plus · Must be on-time and show up each and every day.
