Solar Installer

The Installer is an essential part of Green Power Energy's Field Operations team. As an Installer, each employee is working with the latest solar technology, building relationships with team members, and completing the installation of our products safely and on time. Green Power Energy's ideal candidate will have a passion for learning basic energy system construction, terminology, and concepts. This position is an hourly role that requires working outside in extreme environments, working at heights, and prolonged periods of repetitious duties including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Responsibilities Load job components for the project. Assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware. Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment. Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety. General Labor Position 40 hours a week for the next 2 months. Monday - Friday. Overnight position, includes 30 min lunch. Must be able to work in the AZ sun. Knowledge on using some power tools is a plus, lifting 50 pounds plus on occasion and being ok doing outdoor shifts as we’re always in the sun. Possibility for some OT Must be able to pass a background check, bi weekly pay through payroll company, no under the table payments etc

1. Install, maintain, and repair low-voltage systems, including cabling, routers, switches, access points, and other network equipment. 2. Pulling and fishing Ethernet cables to ensure proper installation and cable dressing for optimal performance. 3. Terminate Ethernet cables following industry standards for structured cabling systems. 4. Replace Enterprise network equipment such as access points and switches as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to network operations. 5. Conduct testing and troubleshooting of Wi-Fi and ethernet connections using specialized testing equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly. 6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of low-voltage systems with the overall network infrastructure. 7. Keep accurate records of work performed, equipment installed, and configuration changes made to facilitate tracking and maintenance. 8. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users in resolving network-related issues in a timely and efficient manner. 9. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance expertise and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements 1. Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or in a similar role, with a focus on cooling, fishing, and terminating Ethernet cables. 2. Hands-on experience in replacing Enterprise network equipment like access points and switches. 3. Proficiency in using tools such as a laptop, drill, Ethernet equipment, and Ethernet testing equipment to perform job responsibilities effectively. 4. Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems, structured cabling, and network infrastructure and cable certification 5. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing low-voltage installations and conducti Wi-Fi surveys 6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues efficiently. 7. Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. 8. Detail-oriented approach to work with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks performed. 9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules in a fast-paced environment. Education and Certifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2. Certification in low-voltage systems, structured cabling, or related field is preferred. 3. Additional certifications in network equipment installation and maintenance are a plus. Working Conditions: 1. This role may require working in various indoor and outdoor environments, including construction sites, data centers, office buildings, and customer premises. 2. May involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, as well as using tools and equipment to perform job duties. 3. Skills and Qualifications: • Experience: Significant experience as a foreman or supervisor in dry utility underground construction. • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of workers. • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of dry utility installation, maintenance, and repair procedures. • Safety Awareness: Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively. • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. • Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating construction equipment. • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Bilingual (Spanish): May be a plus.
