Description

As a B2B SaaS Copywriter and Content Marketer with Datalily, you’ll work closely with our CMO to see our content campaigns through from initial idea to final delivery. You’ll be responsible for turning data analyses and content briefs into actionable content outlines, writing content, overseeing copywriters, editing, implementing client feedback, and collaborating with our design team and clients. We’re looking for someone who has a strong attention to detail and can work quickly executing on high-quality content. You’ll need experience researching and understanding different audiences deeply, and you are aware of the landscape of our client industries, like SaaS, startups, and tech. The ideal person for this role is a storyteller, a critical thinker, performance-driven, creative, curious, and self-motivated to succeed in a competitive environment. This candidate will both manage content, and work on the execution of writing and editing. You will also develop and manage a team of writers. This is a new role at Datalily, ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment. You should be comfortable adapting to how we work today, while also helping shape how we can better serve our customers tomorrow. Key responsibilities Content writing and editing: Write and edit high performing content for use across marketing channels including industry trends reports, case studies, ebooks/guides, blog posts, promotional assets, social ads, etc. (Please provide portfolio examples) Content strategy: Create strategic content briefs, and help come up with creative ideas that align with client needs.  Thinking strategically about content: Use data-driven decision making, edit, and communicate client feedback. Processes & quality standards: Establish content creation workflows (balancing for speed & quality), and create content quality standards to match client brand guidelines and expectations. Content coordination: Manage content timelines, strategically assign pieces to writers, or take them on yourself, communicate with internal/external stakeholders in project management systems, and deliver projects on time About Datalily At Datalily, our mission is to bring data stories to life through strategic market research and powerful content campaigns. Requirements You have 4-6 years in content/editorial strategy or marketing. You have exceptional writing, editing, communication, and storytelling abilities. You have customer research experience and know that good content requires understanding your audience and constantly conducting research (interviews, sales calls, etc) to deepen your knowledge. You have extremely organized project management skills, and you’re capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously. You have a strong grounding in SEO best practices and tools. You understand how to incorporate AI into content workflows strategically (and suss out hallucinations with strong fact-checking). Working knowledge of Google Suite. Experience with tools like Asana (or equivalent PM platform), Mangools/Ahrefs/Semrush (or equivalent SEO platform), and Figma (from a basic copywriting/content perspective) is preferred. (Preferred) You have content writing and editing experience at a high growth, software company or SaaS-facing agency.
