Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is looking for a Full time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Leland office! This position would be Monday - Thursday 7:45am-5pm. DENTAL HYGIENIST POSITION SUMMARY A Dental Hygienist for Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry works together with our dentists to meet the oral health needs of our patients. A Dental Hygienist is responsible for promoting dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screenings, periodontal maintenance, charting dental solutions, willingness to assist with a variety of responsibilities in the dental office, and performing in compliance with Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry’s highest standard of care. DENTAL HYGIENIST KEY COMPETENCIES Assess dental condition and needs of patient using patient screening procedures, including medical history review, dental charting, and perio charting Delivers direct patient care using established dental hygienist procedures Takes patient vital signs Performs routine treatment procedures, such as cleaning and polishing Takes radiographs required for diagnosis of treatment needs by the dentist Applies sealants and fluorides Electronic record keeping Documents patient dental history and chief complaint Records and reports pertinent observations Teaches patients how to prevent tooth decay and gum disease through proper diet and oral home care Cleans and sterilizes instruments Completes Treatment Plan as prescribed by the dentist Reviews and explains treatment plan and associates fees with patient Ability to articulate and express patients concerns to dentist Primary treatment coordinator Ancillary duties as needed Requirements Must be present by 7:45am as clinic opens at 8am (operational hours may vary based on location); individual must be reliable. This is full time position. Completed dental hygiene certificate program or Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene and has current Hygienist license for state of North Carolina. NEW GRADS WELCOME! Family Home Providers are responsible for providing care and supervision to 1-2 adults with developmental disabilities such as Intellectual Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Autism, or Traumatic Brain Injury. More information about developmental disabilities is available on our website. Individuals may also have additional physical or mental health support needs. Individual’s ages range from 18-65 and their needs vary from high functioning, fairly independent Individuals to those who have total physical care needs or behavior support needs. Most Individuals participate in a school or day program during the day, although Family Home Providers are still responsible for being available during the day if needed. You will receive support from Enriching Lives to assist you in providing services in your own home such as initial and continuing education, the support of a multidisciplinary team, 24 hour on call professional support, and overnight relief support. Enriching Lives staff will visit you and the Individual regularly to provide support and ensure that the Individual’s goals are being met. At a minimum, you must have 1-2 spare bedrooms, a safe and pleasant living environment, reliable transportation, a high school diploma or GED and a designated backup Family Home Provider. All adult members of the household and frequent visitors to the home must have a clear criminal history and a DMV record without any major violations. Enriching Lives is highly committed to making successful matches and placements in the home of people who become Family Home Providers with our agency. While there are never guarantees for placements, our success rate is extremely high. We honestly evaluate you and only move forward in certifying you if we are confident that you will receive a match and be successful in our program. I am looking for a companion for my father who lives at an assisted living facility and is interested in sports and games, including Rummiqub and Blackjack. He is mobile and I would love to find a guy who loves sports and would be able to keep him company, play cards, take him places, go out to lunch or other activities.
