As Physician Reviewer/Advisor for Independent Medical Exams (IME), you will utilize clinical expertise and reviews insurance appeals, and prospective and retrospective claims. The Physician Reviewer will provide an interpretation of the medical necessity of services provided by other healthcare professionals in compliance with client specific policies, nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines, and standards of care. Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Specialty Services along with the Dental Assistant Supervisor and the general supervision of a licensed dentist, the Dental Assistant (DA) performs supportive dental procedures specified by codes and regulations of the Dental Board of California. The DA works with dental providers (DDS) assisting with various clinical procedures, recognized by the California Dental Practice Act. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday with periodic Saturday hours. Must demonstrate professionalism at all times. Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends. Must have the ability to travel to various clinic sites.
