Summary of Position: The Night Audit Clerk at our hotel is responsible for ensuring a seamless and efficient registration and checkout process for guests during the overnight hours. This role involves cashiering, balancing banks, compiling report data for audit purposes, and maintaining the high standards of service expected at our hotel. The Night Audit Clerk must have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during the night shift. Key Responsibilities: o Greet and assist guests with the registration and checkout process, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience o Provide information and assistance with special requests, hotel events, and local attractions o Always maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, acknowledging guests appropriately o Handle cashiering duties, including processing payments, balancing cash drawers, and reconciling accounts o Compile and prepare audit reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data o Maintain the highest standards of service, acknowledging all patrons appropriately and assisting with information or special requests o Monitor and respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and effectively o Coordinate with other hotel departments to fulfill guest needs and ensure a cohesive guest experience o Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times o Perform other duties as assigned by the management team Minimum Education: o High School diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience: o Previous experience in a front desk, night audit, or similar customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment o Experience with hotel management software and accounting procedures Skills/Abilities: o Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities o Excellent verbal and written communication skills o Proficiency in typing and computer use, including familiarity with hotel management software o Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously o Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of service o Strong accuracy in financial reporting o Ability to work independently during overnight hours Benefits: o Competitive wage o Eligible employees can have access to comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental o Eligible employees can have access to a pension fund after a year o Eligible employees can be provided with a uniform o 401(k) retirement savings plan to secure your future o Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the hotel o Work in a supportive and dynamic environment that fosters professional and personal development Application Process: Interested candidates can apply online or apply in person at the Hotel Captain Cook HR office.
