Our team designs and constructs quality residential homes from the ground up, and we need a CAD Drafter who understands the big picture. Overview We are seeking a CAD Drafter to join our team and our small office in Nampa. We are interested in either experienced or fresh-out-of-school candidates. If you are experienced, you can hit the ground running. Otherwise, we'll help guide you with our existing team. This person will be working on drafting plans for both Washington and Idaho. The ideal candidate will be proficient in any CAD software and possess a strong understanding of design principles. We use Chief Architect, however, you don't have to have experience with Chief (if you do, that's a bonus, and let us know). Experience with AutoDesk Revit or other software is fine. We'll teach you Chief Architect, you bring the willingness and ability to learn new software. You'll be creating new floorplans, 3D models/renders, modifying existing plans, and creating permit documents, and field layouts, among others! If you have a passion for design and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you. Other duties may include helping with purchasing, updating, or working on our online site, etc. Responsibilities • Develop detailed 2D and 3D models using Chief Architect. • Produce full plan sets, detail beams/brace walls/footings, ensure IRC & local-code compliance, collaborate on revisions, document drawings. • Revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients, ensuring timely updates. • Maintain organized documentation of all design files and revisions. • Other duties as needed - sometimes other team members need a helping hand catching up.
