The Position Our bank client is seeking to fill an SBA Loan Closer/Servicer role in the greater Dallas,TX area. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing operational support duties related to the processing, closing, funding, reporting and servicing of SBA & USDA Loans. These tasks include maintenance of accurate system records (nCino), customer service, closing/funding, payment postings, reconciliation of GL/Accounts, submitting servicing actions/modifications, etc. This position must remain aware of and adhere to established SBA & USDA Dept policies and procedures, the SBA SOP & USDA REGS, while ensuring alignment with bank and SBA/USDA government regulations. The position includes a salary of up to $85K and an excellent benefits package. (This is not a remote position) SBA Loan Closer/Servicer responsibilities include: Manages the SBA 7a, SBA 504 & USDA Loan Closings; enters SBA 7a Loans in CAFS/ETRAN to receive SBA Terms & Conditions/Approval/LOAN #; engage bank’s closing attorney (engagement letter per credit memo/conditions, issue commitment letter to loan officer/customer, process commitment letter and commitment fee, engage third party providers/RIMS-appraiser, Construction Dept Specialist, prepare the loan for “closing”). 50% of the time. Review/approve/upload in nCino any/all related loan documents/forms, work closely with the loan officer, closing attorney, and third-party providers to complete the “closing checklist”.  25% of the time.  Review application/forms to verify “form dates” meet the 90-day rule, and collect updated forms/financials if needed.  20% of the time.  Submit loan package to “pre-closing review” for loans of $2million> to the Bank’s PRE-CLOSING REVIEW Dept via nCino, and the SBA Dept Portfolio Manager, get approval “clear to close” prior to scheduling the closing.  10% of the time Clear all exception items/hard stops in nCino prior to closing, mail the closing package to the loan officer and borrower/borrower’s attorney for review, and schedule the closing, per the bank’s closing attorney’s schedule.  10% of the time Prepare the Debit/Credit Closing Worksheet, initiate the funds wire for closing, and send it to the Loan Servicing Specialist/Supervisor for approval.  10% of the time Pre/Post Closing Review of the loan documents, ensure that all forms/documents have been executed; scan file for booking, review bank system for booking efficiencies (send Servicing Ticket to correct any booking errors).  Assign to SBA Portfolio Manager. 10% of the time. Review the Delinquency Reports for SBA 7a and USDA B&I loans. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time. Process loan payments for SBA 7a and USDA B&I loans. This duty is performed monthly, about 20% of the time. Post Cash Items to the SBA DDA/Investor Account. This duty is performed daily about 20% of the time. Transfer funds to the appropriate GL’s or DDAs for SBA & USDA wires. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time. Prepare, edit, research, and maintain SBA 7a 1502 Report/due monthly. This duty is performed monthly, about 20% of the time. Provide support and customer service to SBA Portfolio Managers, loan officers, and customers, including answering inquiries related to loan files, account balances, and payoff requests for SBA 7a and USDA B&I loans. This duty is performed daily, about 50% of the time. Submit SBA loan deferment and modification documents to loan servicing and CAFS/E-Tran. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time. Assist loan officers and portfolio managers with the preparation of loan servicing actions and E-Tran servicing adjustments. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time. Prepare and submit notices to the borrower for late payments, collection, default, and liquidation. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time. Contact the Loan Officer or Collateral Site Inspection vendor to perform required site inspections for all loans more than 50 days past due, and annual site inspections as required by the SBA SOP. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time. Review fully funded loans for documentation exceptions. about 20% of the time. Prepare the “unsold” loan report for approval to sell the “guaranteed” portion of the SBA 7a & USDA loans; submit a request for “bids” to the investors, submit the BIDS to the Dept Manager/Supervisor for approval to sell; package folder and submit documents to the investors, and prepare the 1086 Agreement, submit “confirmations” to the President/CLO to prepare the allocations to the Accounting Dept.  Inform the Region/loan officer where the loan is booked that the guaranty/loan has been sold.  This duty is performed monthly, about 20% of the time. Establish a loan tickler/pipeline report. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time. Update and monitor the SBA Watch List for all SBA/USDA loans.
