Job Summary: The Land Acquisition Manager for M/I Homes (NYSE “MHO”) coordinates and assists in the acquisition and development of real estate into residential communities. Duties and Responsibilities Sources and acquires land for the development of communities in the Greater Cincinnati Market (including Dayton and Kentucky). Prepares land acquisition packages for presentation and corporate approval. Performs project underwriting and generates letters of intent (LOI’s). Manages the land entitlement process, including presentations at municipal hearings. Develops and maintains property contact listings through continuous research and analysis of available land; establishes and maintains builder and developer contacts for available lots. Assists in the evaluation process and inspection of land under consideration. Monitors inventory of available excess lots for sale by other builders and developers. Generates Competitive Market Analysis (CMA) on a regular basis. Meets with seller/engineers/planners/municipalities/other agencies as required for each property under consideration. Assists with special projects as requested and performs additional duties as required. Requirements Minimum Education Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering.  3-5 years’ experience in real estate acquisitions (residential a plus).  Ability to drive the market requires a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Generates Competitive Market Analysis (CMA) on a regular basis, including builder competition, resale regressions, and submarket location adjustments. Assists Marketing Department with their on-site/off-site community signage leases and permits. Meets with seller/engineers/planners/municipalities/other agencies as required for each property under consideration. Requirements Minimum Education Experience:   Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering.  3-5 years’ experience in real estate acquisitions (with a production builder preferred). Skills and Abilities:  Demonstrated success in homebuilding industry preferred. Persuasive attitude with outstanding negotiation and organizational skills; detail-oriented aptitude. Ability to research, interpret, analyze, and evaluate given information relative to the acquisition of appropriate land sites. JOB TITLE: Facilities Planner 1    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Provide facilities planning support for small projects, establishing the scope, goals, and for a project.  Use project planning to manage and execute various projects within their organization.  Create and organize the layout of the facility to maximize efficiency and meet the needs of users and projects, help to develop strategic and tactical plans and manage site layout changes.  Use CAD to create and maintain space utilization documentation, manage campus master plans, and provide support for in-house facilities projects.  Use space planning to maximize the use of space in technical lab areas, manage space allocation, provide creative solutions to changing space requirements, assist in the long-range physical planning process and adds, and changes.  Use project management to handle various tasks, such as space planning, building administration, and construction projects.
