Description

The Director of Clinical Research Success will report directly to the VP of MedTech and will be responsible for overseeing the success and satisfaction of our ResearchPRO customers. This role is primarily focused on engaging with research sponsors and investigator sites, enabling successful research studies that drive publication and efficacy, expanding study growth within these partnerships, and reducing customer churn. The Director of Clinical Research Success will be a strategic thinker with in-depth knowledge of clinical research, best practices for utilizing patient-reported outcomes within studies, proven customer success management skills to grow and retain customers, and the ability to lead a team to achieve exceptional customer outcomes. Clinical Research Strategy & Customer Success Develop and execute a research success strategy aligned with PatientIQ’s MedTech and ResearchPRO business objectives. Drive best practices for research implementation, stakeholder engagement, and issue resolution. Define and track key performance metrics, including study activation, investigator onboardings, subjects enrolled, customer satisfaction, and retention. Support expansion within existing research partnerships by identifying growth opportunities. Develop deep product technical understanding. Customer Engagement & Study Support Serve as the primary point of contact for research sponsors, CROs, and investigator sites, ensuring seamless collaboration. Oversee study implementation, proactively addressing risks and ensuring successful execution. Lead research training programs and best practice initiatives to enhance study efficiency. Act as the escalation point for study-related challenges, coordinating with internal teams to resolve complex issues. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to help customers extract and interpret actionable study insights. Performance & Process Optimization Monitor research customer health metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Implement data-driven strategies to improve study execution, engagement, and satisfaction. Partner with sales, product, and marketing teams to enhance the research customer journey and address cross-functional challenges. Advocate for MedTech and ResearchPRO customer feedback to drive platform enhancements and service innovation. Ensure all studies adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of clinical research managers to drive customer success and study excellence. Establish and maintain a customer-first culture, ensuring team alignment with research success goals. Oversee account planning, study documentation, and execution workflows within HubSpot and other internal tools. Foster continuous learning and professional development within the research success team. Salary Band: $140,000 - $160,000 Requirements 7+ years of experience in clinical research, preferably with exposure to sponsor, CRO, and/or site roles. Proven success in customer-facing roles — confident communicator, responsive, and calm under pressure. Strong grasp of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) and their application in research studies. High technical aptitude — ability to quickly learn and translate software capabilities into practical research workflows. Experience mentoring or managing team members preferred. Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple projects and stakeholders. The CHW will lead the Connect For Life program, using Wider Circle’s approved curriculum and materials to build trust, promote health, and encourage engagement. The CHW will plan, promote, and host virtual and in-person events for members, fostering relationships with and among members to support wellness outcomes. On a regular cadence and as needed, the CHW will reach out to members(by phone and in-person) to check-in with them, identify and address needs, and encourage participation in local events.
