Responsibilities Prepare and chop vegetables, fruits, and proteins as per the menu specifications. Assist in the cooking process by monitoring food items and ensuring proper cooking times. Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations and kitchen equipment. Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and standards set by the head chef. Follow food safety guidelines and maintain sanitation throughout the kitchen. Stock and restock supplies as necessary and report any shortages to management. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during peak times. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to follow directions and maintain consistency in food preparation. Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation. The cook is responsible for the preparation, cooking, transport, and serving of scheduled menu items according to supervisor’s instructions and food production sheets.
