POSITION SUMMARY The Structural Packaging Designer will reimagine and redesign all aspects of our consumer-facing packaging, including supplement bottles, product containers, shipping vessels, sample packs, and direct mail materials. This role will collaborate closely with the design team to develop creative concepts and work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and product development to create sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging solutions. Additionally, this role will oversee project deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with our brand strategy, delivering a high-quality customer experience. WHAT YOU’LL DO (ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) Foster a positive, collaborative, and success-oriented work environment within the Creative Department and the company. Maintain strong relationships with packaging manufacturers and industry brokers. Coordinate package development, including features, benefits, storage, shipping, and handling, ensuring full regulatory compliance and clear communication with internal teams and customers. Ensure package design aligns with customer insights and needs. Collaborate with various teams to integrate new and updated packaging into production systems. Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities for packaging materials and processes. Analyze product cost variances and their impact on key financial metrics and decisions. Stay informed on packaging trends, processes, and equipment through trade journals, professional meetings, expos, and industry events. Support additional assignments and tasks as needed. Requirements WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS ) Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or engineering preferred, with strong graphic sensibilities. Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in packaging sourcing and design, ideally within CPG segments such as functional foods, nutritional supplements, nutraceuticals, and other health-focused products. Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD, or similar) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.). Expertise in packaging engineering, design, material handling, root cause analysis, fabrication, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of FTC, FDA, and other regulatory requirements for packaging design, layout, and messaging. Deep understanding of production cost models, designing to meet target pricing and margins, and defining capital equipment needs to commercialize new products while justifying expenditures. Insightful understanding of consumer preferences and market packaging trends. Proactively identify and resolve packaging challenges, drive innovation, optimize processes, and implement cost-saving, environmentally responsible solutions. Creative and articulate, capable of collaborating with ProCaps’ founder and departmental leaders throughout the design process. Highly motivated with exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Lead initiatives to reduce material usage and incorporate recycled content in food-contact packaging. Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Procurement to investigate packaging component issues, documenting findings in CAPAs, NCRs, and quality reports. Support all efforts to achieve creative and marketing objectives, assisting in new product launches and cost-reduction initiatives. Looking for a position where every day is different, and you're surrounded by art and fun creatives? You're in luck! We are looking for one or two teachers to fit into our sweet art community. We focus mostly on teaching kids ages 4-17 and have some adult classes as well. You must actually like and enjoy being in the company of humans. No previous teaching experience is required, but it is helpful. Our ceramics classes focus on hand-building, pottery wheel, and a combo of both. However, we are looking for someone proficient and passionate about throwing. Also, we often have a couple of dogs in the studio, so to reiterate, you must like dogs and kids. :) Perk if you are multi-medium disciplined, as we have both a Studio Arts Studio, as well as a Ceramics Studio, and love being able to cross over. This is a part-time job of 10-25 hours per week, which includes Saturdays and some Sundays. Our schedule shifts twice per year as we run regular weekly classes between Sept.-May, and summer camps June-Aug., so some flexibility is a must. During the school year our working hours are typically Mon-Fri 2-7:00 and Saturdays 9-3:30. During the summer we operate Mon-Fri 8:45-4:15. Established set building/custom fabrication firm seeking full time builder/carpenter/installers with cabinet making experience for set building projects, trade show booths, retail build-outs/activations and events. We are seeking experienced, motivated, and team-oriented individuals. Prior experience with set building or production fabrication is highly desired. Cabinet making skills and expert carpentry skills are mandatory. Drop Works has been a leader in set/scenic fabrication in the Bay Area for over 25 years. We design, source and fabricate scenic architecture for commercial photo shoots and product testing, both on location, in our on-site rental photo studio. We also design and fabricate permanent retail displays and buildouts, retail activations and custom event installations. We operate a large fabrication shop and commercial photo studio, located in Vallejo, CA. Self-transport is required as employees sometimes are assigned to begin work at offsite locations around the Bay Area. Early mornings, possible travel, evenings, weekends, and overtime are all parts of the role. We are hiring for builders for immediate full-time employment (40 hours per week plus overtime as needed). Responsibilities include carpentry based fabrication scenic architecture and permanent retail fixtures, logistics, transport and installation of sets and scenic architectural elements, custom fabrication projects for commercial customers and private events.
