They are most commonly found on the bottom of the foot and result from a combination of factors such as poor blood circulation, nerve damage (diabetic neuropathy), and high blood sugar levels. Because diabetes can cause a loss of feeling in the feet, small cuts or blisters may go unnoticed and develop into ulcers. Poor circulation also slows healing, increasing the risk of infection. This is a great opportunity to assist an artist / designer with a disability in Lexington, MA! I am seeking a caring individual who is adventurous, responsible, and personally well organized. I am 40 years old, have tetraplegic cerebral palsy, and use a power wheelchair. I need help with daily routines that include showering, dressing, eating, using the restroom, commuting, and working. You should have creative problem solving skills, domestic skills, and be able to represent yourself well in front of others. You must be able to drive, lift 100 pounds several times a day, and learn how to communicate with me. I'm functionally non-verbal. I can speak, it's just labor intensive and mostly unintelligible to the untrained ear. I have developed other methods of communication that make it easy for anyone to communicate with me. I am interested in user experience design, accessibility design, and playing both World of Warcraft and Magic the Gathering at a competitive level. A position is available immediately. I am looking to fill one 24-hour shifts from Friday 9am - Tuesday 9am. A 24-hour shift grosses approximately $300.00 before taxes. All of your expenses are paid for while working, and you would have your own room. I-9 and W-4 forms must be filled out. No experience with disabilities required, you will be trained.
