Description

We are currently looking for a female Live- In Home Companion and Assistant to provide some in home companionship, and some assistants for our parents mainly our father. The perfect candidate would be someone who already has a part-time job, possible working from home, or a full-time student doing online classes, someone who is currently living with roommates, paying a shared portion of the living expenses, and who might be looking for something a little different, being more independent, and looking for some additional income. This might be a great opportunity for you. We have a unique situation, and are offering a monthly salary plus full room and board included as part of the package. You would have your own room, and complete use of the family home. This would include use of the kitchen, bathroom(s), water, heat, sewer, garbage, AC, washer, dryer, internet, and food all included in trade for some in-home companion care each day during the week. Weekends off. This opportunity (if you were hired) would allow you to move into our home thus saving you your share of the shared living expenses you now currently have, and add some additional income into your bank account while providing us with some in home assistance and companionship for our parents. We are not looking for a licensed caregiver yet. We are looking for someone who can live in the home in case an emergency situation occurs. Provide some basic assistance, along with the additional care support we have coming into the home on a weekly basis for our father, and provide some assistance for our mother. As far as are mother goes, just handing her or laying her morning and night Meds. on the counter is usually sufficient, as well as making sure that she has turned off the burner(s) in the kitchen and there might be on occasion times that she needs help or assistance, or maybe just taking her for a short walk. The assistance that our father requires during the day would be to wake him up in the morning and make sure that he takes his Meds. and change him out of night cloths into day cloths, and making sure that every other day he’s changed out of his under garments. At this time, he usually will eat a little something and drink a boost before falling back to sleep in his chair. He will generally wake up a few time throughout the afternoon and we encourage him during one of these time to eat something and drink some water before having something to eat later at dinnertime. For the evening part of your day cooking a small family type dinner would be the ideal thing so that mom and dad have a meal together and that way you’re only cooking one meal for the three of you. They don’t eat very much so it’s a pretty simple, small meal to prepare and clean up after, and then making sure that both of our parents take their Meds. before going to bed. So, in the nutshell we would like someone to be in the home in case of an emergency (this doesn’t mean that you can’t leave and go somewhere, you can.) Set out moms Meds. for morning and night, or hand them to her, and make sure that the burner(s) are off after use. Wake dad up and get him out of bed (If possible) in the morning swap his cloths from night cloths to day cloths (if possible), have him takes his morning Meds., attempt to get him to eat something either by handed it to him or sitting it on the table next to him. Checking in on him around lunch time and trying to get him to eat something. Then at dinner time making a dinner for the three of you and serving up dads to him. Mom will usually walk into the kitchen and grab hers, but if you wanted to hand it to her that would be great as well. Other than that, just general clean as you go and making sure that things are picked up. We have also scheduled some in-home care that will be coming into the home and providing additional support for our father including his weekly shower along with some other care to help. We are open to discussing your current employment situation and seeing how we can work around it to make this a win win for both of us. We can also discuss the details further for the position if you are interested and think that this is would be a good fit for you.
