Assistant Project Manager – Residential Construction Location: Albemarle County, VA (In-person role) Type: Part-time to Full-time (15–30 hrs/week to start) Compensation: $20–$35/hour depending on experience About Us We are a high-end residential construction company specializing in custom homes, remodels, spec houses, and restoration. Role Overview We are looking for an organized, hands-on Assistant Project Manager who can take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of job sites. This position will allow the owner to focus on client relationships, pricing, and contracts while you handle the operational details that keep projects running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Job Site Coordination: Meet inspectors on site for inspections Ensure subcontractors are on time, on task, and work is done to specification Communicate daily job status back to the owner Permits & Inspections: Apply for permits online Request and schedule inspections Materials & Logistics: Order materials as directed and coordinate delivery to job sites Pick up and deliver materials as needed Scheduling & Bidding: Distribute plans and scopes of work to subcontractors for bids Track bid responses and follow up Documentation: Keep organized notes and records for each job Take site photos for updates and documentation Ideal Candidate Strong organizational and communication skills Experience in residential construction or related field preferred Comfortable driving to job sites and interacting with inspectors and subcontractors Tech-savvy (comfortable with email, Google Drive, online forms) Proactive, dependable, and detail-oriented Requirements Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (truck or SUV ideal) Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally Basic knowledge of construction processes (helpful but not mandatory if willing to learn) To Apply: Send a brief email introducing yourself, your relevant experience, and include the phrase “attention to detail is key” in your response so we know you read this carefully.
