Job Summary: The Desk Monitor watches and responds to building and resident needs. The Monitor is not to act as a security guard nor a maintenance person. Rather, the Monitor is to notify the appropriate party should a situation demand it. The Desk Monitor is to employ active interaction with both residents and staff. A critical component to success is clear communication. Job Responsibilities: • Attend staff meetings and trainings as needed • Assist other staff members in providing quality programs to all residents • Respond to tenant complaints/concerns • Job Title: Desk Monitor • Cooperation and coordination with Case Manager(s) and other staff workers to ensure an open channel of communication regarding treatment and behavioral expectations of individuals • Documentation of daily log, point cards and notes of behavioral information needed for clear and effective communication for staff shift change • Maintain curb appeal outside of normal business hours • Monitor security cameras • Maintain guest policy – inspect guest ID as well as ensure guest physically stays with tenant during visits • Physically inspect building – regular floor walks (once per hour or as needed) • Instruct residents on incident reports and maintenance requests • Contact maintenance or security/police if issues arise • Other duties as requested by Community Manager Qualifications required: • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work as part of a team
