An established Contractor is seeking a Controller/Bookkeeper with a minimum of (5) years of experience. Duties include cash flow management, general ledger reconciliation, monthly financial statement preparation, supervision and task of A/R, A/P, Job Costing and Payroll accounting functions as well as assisting with other general office duties. Payroll is out-sourced but requires some assembly of data for the vendor; general ledger and about six checking accounts require daily input and activities. Management reporting throughout the month, customized reports tracking various data assembled into spreadsheet reports. Interaction with some vendors and management of recurrent expenses which are auto-debited. Reconciliation of bank accounts and regular general ledger reporting for outside audit and review by CPAs. Some work on supplies and inventories. The job is likely 25 hours per week --- five hours per day, but may be full time depending on services provided and law firm growth.
