Immaculate 1998 550 Spyder, professionally built by Vintage Motorcars. The two top builders of this model are Beck and Vintage Motorcars. The 550 was the first full race car built by Porsche in the mid 50’s. They only produced 90 of these amazing machines that totally dominated race tracks in Europe and the US during that time. Also know as the James Dean car, due to his death while crashing his in 1956. The most recent sale of one of the originals went for $4.5 million but you can own this incredibly accurate copy for a hundredth of that at forty five thousand. Not based on a hacked up VW pan, these rare, factory built copies feature a tube frame and weigh in at 1,350 pounds, running a twenty two hundred c.c. high performance VW based, mid engine producing around 175 horse power.
