Ocean Casino Resort, Atlantic City's most innovative and premier luxury casino resort, is seeking a Busperson for their high-end restaurant- Linguini By The Sea. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with previous Busperson experience who is passionate about providing excellent customer service to join our team. Responsibilities Clean and reset tables after each guest leaves. Respond to guests' requests and assist them with any immediate needs. Serve bread and water upon seating and provide guests with menu items. Monitor guest needs and respond appropriately to ensure guest satisfaction. Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest level of customer service. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Essential Functions Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast pace environment Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel areas Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shift hours Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds Requirements Previous experience as a Busperson is preferred. JOB SUMMARY The Restaurant Server shall be responsible for providing prompt and courteous meal service and assistance to residents and guests. Must be responsible for maintaining works areas in a clean and orderly manner. Assures that quality food service is provided at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensures that every table is clean and organized. Organizes the juices, milk, bread, water, and cereal area. Prepares the coffee and condiments. Also prepares the carts for the used plates and cups. Checks the reservations for the morning and lunch meals and prepares the signs needed for the tables. Opens restaurant doors and monitors that the buffet area is well stocked and clean. Also inspects the floor area frequently, especially main walkways, for any spills and makes sure it is cleaned immediately. Ensures that all the residents are served and all their needs are met. Helps with beverage refills. Also helps those residents requiring assistance in carrying their plates/glasses. Helps clear the tables of used plates and utensils assuring that there are no used plates around that the residents no longer need. Clears and cleans all the tables in time for the following meal. Refills condiments and beverages. Arranges silverware for each assigned station. Makes sure the buffet food is fresh and hot, and replenished. Helps those residents requiring assistance with their plates and also their walkers. When the meal period is done, makes sure that the tables are clean and buffet areas are clean for the following day. Insures that the refrigerator and cabinets are clean and organized. Also, makes sure the hallway is clear of any boxes. Collects all tablecloths for cleaning. The server position at Baba's Pierogies is an all-encompassing job, as a new member of the Baba's Team you should be ready, not only to provide great customer service, but also have a 'go-get-em' attitude, good presentation and cleanliness. Our servers run their own food and keep their tables neat and tidy. We need someone who can be in charge of the floor on their own, but also can work well alongside other team members. Our shifts are solo shifts; hosting, serving, running, and bussing. All the dishes at Baba's are made to order fresh, once you learn about our menu you will be expected to try our food and sell it to the customers. We have confidence in our food and so should our servers, you should be ready to build checks and sell dishes. Server responsibilities also include making Baba's Sauces, we expect our servers to have the determination and skill to follow our recipes exactly and prepare these sauces during the regular shift. About the Role The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately. Position Responsibilities Delivers completed cuisine to designated tables Supports wait staff by assisting them with delivery of food and retrieval of any supplies they may require Serves all customers according to established standards of quality Have knowledge of appropriate garnishes and sauces for each plate. Have full knowledge of table numbers, seat numbers and sections of the restaurant. Perform final quality check of all plates before delivery. Deliver all food items to the correct table in a timely manner. Know pivot points and seat numbers to deliver food without “auctioning” food. Provide guests with any items they request to complete their meal. Communicate with service staff/management any requests you cannot provide. Communicate with kitchen/management regarding any food related issues brought to your attention by the guest.
