The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties Inc. is looking to fill the position of Instructor for an after school program setting serving youth in grades K-8. The positions are part time, Monday-Friday, during after school hours. The main worksite is located at 102 Harry Howard Ave, Hudson, NY 12534. Instructor- Develops lesson plans to facilitate structured age appropriate educational, recreational and skill building activities etc for youth. Models and teaches socially acceptable behaviors.  Maintains regular contact with parents and teachers. The position offers an hourly rate of $26.70, with 12-15 hours per week over a 40-week school year.  The Hudson LEAPS Afterschool program provides educational support, recreational opportunity, skill building, character education and a nutritional snack for each participant during three hours of structured daily activities. Collaborations with service providers offer specialized services for participating youth. With a focus on providing youth with a message promoting positive attitude regarding school, delaying childbearing and violence prevention, the program offers interesting and engaging alternatives in Hudson for up to 240 youth (K-8th grade). The After Care Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the after-school program for students in Early Childhood through 8th grade, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment aligned with the mission of SHA. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to create meaningful afterschool programming. Hours are 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Thursday; Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Supervision Plan, organize, and oversee daily after care activities, ensuring they are age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging for EC–8 students.
