JOB EXPECTATIONS The Teaching Fellow is responsible for supporting learning in ZEST Preparatory Academy kindergarten classrooms. Roles and Responsibilities INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT Partner with the Lead Kindergarten Teacher to support classroom instruction in to ensure academic and social-emotional needs are met Support small group instruction and assessment practices for a diverse group of students Demonstrate the ability to embrace differentiated instructional approaches to learning Engage in continuous professional development and shared learning with other professional staff CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT SUPPORT Build and maintain relationships with students Demonstrate a sound ability to support a positive learning environment Supervising students in and out of the classroom Support student arrival, dismissal, lunch duty, and recess ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT Performing duties such as tracking student attendance, typing, filing, photocopying, and grading student work Ensuring the upkeep of educational materials, equipment, and supplies COMMUNITY COLLABORATION Work collaboratively with a diverse group of school colleagues, parents, community members, and Support Field Experiences and other school programs Participate on a school-based committee Attend school and community events Ancillary Duties: Include, but are not limited to: Demonstrate positive support for the Board, administrative team, school staff, and the community Attend after school activities Required to have prompt, regular attendance and be available to work on-site Perform other duties as assigned by leadership team QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
