Arena Security serves various functions depending on the event and staffing need. This position helps create a positive guest experience by helping to maintain safety, security, and consistency throughout all events. Welcome guests to arena in a positive way while observing the Clear Bag Policy and conducting security screenings utilizing Walk Thru Metal Detectors, Hand Held Security Wands and thorough clutch and diaper bag checks. Enforce arena policies to facilitate a safe and enjoyable experience for all in attendance: this includes watching for vaping, smoking, fowl language, underage drinking etc. Adhere to specific event guidelines as outlined by the MOD during briefing. Monitor arena to identify potential hazards or situations and communicate these to the MOD & Lead CMS. Provide support to guest services staff regarding guest complaints and incidents Diligently monitor and observe backstage areas, bus parking, crowds, and tunnels for potential issues. Provide security for performers and/or players depending on the event. Assist with other duties as assigned Requirements:Must have 1-2 years previous security experience working with the public in an event type setting or customer service space. law enforcement or military security also qualifies. Must be willing to engage with patrons in difficult situations when necessary. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs. Occasionally assist with set up/ tear down (chair set) Will always have support of CMS and BPD (if necessary) 5. Must commit to working 60% of the published/ticketed events each month.
