Pay is 55 cents per mile plus $25 extra stops Responsibilities: - Transport finished goods and raw materials across the US to and from manufacturing plants or retail/distribution centers - Inspect vehicles for mechanical or safety issues and report to Dispatch - Plan routes and meet delivery schedules - Operate Electronic logs (Android or IPhone) - Comply with Federal driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods), as well as Company policies and procedures - Maneuver trucks into docks for loading or unloading - Collect and verify delivery instructions, including keeping track of all load paperwork - Report defects, accidents or violations immediately Requirements: - Proven work experience as a Class A Driver, with a current valid license - Hands on experience with electronic logs and other tracking apps (GPS, E-Logs, CB, MacroPoint, etc) - Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly - Extensive knowledge of applicable Federal truck driving rules and regulations, HOS - Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc) - Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide pre-employment screening Come drive for the best, Come drive for Newton Transport!
