In this role, you will verify product conformance in a fast paced environment with a large range of products. Additionally you will be receiving First Piece, In-process, Last Piece, Final and First Article Inspections. Immediate Troubleshooting & RCCA: Identify and resolve production issues in collaboration with maintenance and supply chain teams. Implement immediate corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. Document incidents and contribute to Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis. Team Leadership & Development: Coach, mentor, and motivate production associates towards a culture of teamwork & improvement. Ensure staff are trained on safety protocols, equipment operation, quality standards, and hygiene practices. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address employee concerns. Collaborate with Plant Manager, Quality Manager and Maintenance Manager to resolve issues and implement corrective actions. Our QA Technician's typical schedule will work Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM. The QA Tech will work closely with the shift supervisor and QA Supervisor to ensure all quality parameters are being met at all times. This position must maintain a consistent quality product by performing QA checks (moisture, breakage, Oxygen, Bag Seal integrity, date code and raw material verification, and other checks as requested by leadership) at the required intervals. Responsibilities Prepare shift reports as directed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor. Perform line inspections and raw material verifications prior to production beginning after a changeover or at the start of production for the week. Validate sanitation effectiveness and complete Post-OP or Pre-OP sanitation inspection report. Constantly inspect product as it is being produced to ensure it meets the benchmark standard and customer expectations and stop production immediately if out of tolerance deviation occurs. Verify all on line inspection sheets and production documents prior to and during production. Sign off on all changeover check sheets as quickly as possible to verify all details are correct or to minimize the amount of product to be put on hold. Place all out of specification products and/or raw materials on hold using an orange QC Hold tag. Conduct and report daily GMP audits and corrective measures on designated shift. Perform a walkthrough with the shift supervisor at least once per week. Assist in maintaining retained production samples for each product produced. As needed, assist with training of new employees and refresher training of existing employees in GMP, HACCP and other certifications as needed. As needed, assist with customer complaints investigations. As needed, assist with sample preparation and shipping. As needed, assist in keeping Process Sheets up to date with production notes and speeds. As needed, assist with required Quality Assurance reports. As needed, conduct taste tests to ensure production run matches previous runs/samples. As needed, assist with R/D tasks and production sample runs/trials and report. Requirements 1 - 2 years working in a production or food manufacturing facility Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.​ Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment Must be able to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
