We are seeking a reliable and experienced truck driver to join our team. As a driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of building materials throughout Oregon. Responsibilities: • Operate tractor-trailers in a safe and legal manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. • Transport goods and materials to specified destinations, following assigned routes and schedules. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe operating condition. • Secure cargo to prevent damage during transit. • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information, in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues or delays. • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and vehicle maintenance guidelines. • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service. • Plan routes efficiently, considering traffic, weather conditions, and delivery schedules. • Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure, and report any mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel. Qualifications: • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A • 2 years of experience as a Truck Driver preferred. • Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents. • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures. • Ability to operate and maintain commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to read maps, use GPS devices, and plan routes effectively. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Preferred Skills/Experience: • Experience with flatbed trailers. • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
