We at A-STAR, a commercial exterior contractor specializing in roofing and siding, are seeking to add an Estimator to our team. The ideal candidate will posses a willingness to learn our business with two-three years of commercial construction experience or currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management.  Responsibilities: Prepare quantity takeoffs and estimates. Assist head estimator with takeoffs, estimates, bids and proposals. Communicate with customers pre-bid time and write RFI’s. Coordinate with project management team upon successful award. Create budgets for our customers. Attend pre-bid meetings and job meetings as needed. Review labor and material budgets. Order materials. Customer relations. Product submittals. Scheduling of labor and material delivers. Manage one to three projects while also maintaining a balance with estimating duties. Participate in “handoff” meetings for projects that will be managed by others. Job Requirements: Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products. Knowledge of takeoff software is preferred but not required. Ability to understand and interpret plans and specifications. Ability to work independently with little direction. Dependable. Strong communication skills. Schedule: Monday through Friday. Job description: Hi, I'm a 40-year-old ALS patient who needs a caregiver and assistant 6 days a week. I've lost movement in both of my arms; my legs are strong but stiff so I can walk short distances with assistance; and my speech and swallowing muscles are also weakened so I receive most of my meals through a feeding tube. I need someone who can help with daily grooming as well as an assistant who can make calls on my behalf or help me run errands. Finally, I still love to travel, and I do so with the help of my caregivers. (After we've spent some time together.) We've traveled to Chile, Argentina, Spain, Ireland, Iceland, Mexico, and Amsterdam in the past. Salary and expenses are paid to accompany me on trips. (Note: I only take my most organized and attentive caregivers on trips.) Job responsibilities: - Bathe, feed, dress, and provide general assistance to patient. - General maintenance and light cleaning around the house, e.g. laundry, cleaning bathroom, dishes, watering plants, etc. - Driving patient to appointments and running errands - Must be detail-oriented and able to organize medications, clothes, and other belongings - Job includes accompanying patient on trips, including overseas travel Requirements: - Prior work experience as a caregiver is required, nursing home experience is prefered - Must be OK with cannabis use and cannabis smoke. - Must be physically able to lift heavy objects, 88 lb. patient, without trouble.
