General: Responsible for assuring all products are being produced at 300-employee poultry processing facility are safe and compliant with regulatory and Customer requirements. Works to ensure any food safety quality incidents are prevented. Promotes food safety and GMP awareness. The position reports to the quality supervisor w/ primary 4- day work schedule (Mon. – Thurs. or Tues. – Fri.) day shift, with flexibility to work early shift, overtime, and weekends, as needed. Specific Duties / Responsibilities: Ensures all products are being produced in a safe manner and in compliance with all GMP’s, SSOP’s, HACCP, USDA and Customer requirements. Provides input and helps enforce food safety procedures and best practices Performs a variety of checks and tests in poultry processing facility (incoming thru shipment) Supports training for GMP’s, HACCP, SSOP, and USDA regulation compliance for employees Audits work practices, environment, and procedures for food safety / regulatory compliance Works with operations and partners with USDA to meet state and federal regulations and promote a safe work environment. Performs and accurately documents all required lab tests Demonstrates analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned Requirements Education: Associates degree in technical field (preferred / not required) Experience: Min. of 2 years of work experience in food processing or related field Quality technician experience in food processing (preferred) Skills/Abilities/Attributes: Quality-related experience in an industrial environment Working knowledge of quality systems Solid understanding of food safety regulations Detailed-oriented; able to work in fast-paced environment Solid communication and interpersonal skills; able to work w/ various levels of organization Physical Requirements: Lift / move up to 40 lbs.; occasionally 50 lbs. Conforming Technician will manipulate and edit audio, video and subtitle files to match client and vendor specifications for streaming platforms. Great opportunity for someone who is team-oriented, technically skilled, systems-oriented, and has an overall "Roll Up Your Sleeves" approach to troubleshooting. Day and swing shifts are available; please indicate if you have a preference.  The ideal Conforming Technician will possess at least 2 years of experience working with various formats of digital video sources and encoding, including expertise in Digital Portal specs. This is a Variable position based on available work, on site in our Burbank office. Responsibilities: ·        Quickly comprehend technical specifications and apply that understanding. ·        Monitor and prioritize a high volume and time-sensitive order queue. ·        Ensure source assets are restored and conformed as required. ·        Validate video, audio and timed text media assets against a variety of client and internal specifications. ·        Communicate and document internal rejections to the appropriate teams. ·        Verify the integrity of deliverables and delivery package prior to servicing. ·        Maintain servicing action logs as needed ·        Succinctly and efficiently handoff projects with next-up shifts ·        Operate with a high sense of urgency and discretion ·        Other tasks as needed to meet project deadlines  Requirements Requirements: ·        Conforming audio, video, and subtitle/caption content to platform specifications (iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.). ·        High-level understanding of subtitling specifications and formats, audio sample rates, video frame rates, SMPTE timecode and traditional multichannel audio configurations (2.0, 5.1, 7.1, ATMOS). ·        Understanding of industry format standards such as PAL, NTSC, timecode, framerate, codec, audio settings/configurations,  ·        Frame Rate Conversions  ·        captions, subtitles, forced Narrative, SDH ·        Knowledge of post-production guidelines and workflows using tools such as Adobe Premiere Suite, Clipster, Transkoder, Cortex, Resolve, and various transcoding utilities such as Compressor, AME, Episode Pro. ·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate with other groups. ·        Strong data entry and proofreading skills. ·        Ability to work independently. ·        Proficient with both Mac and PC operating systems. ·        Comfortable with change and able to adapt as needed to meet the needs of our clients.   ·        Experience in a post-production or media creation environment. ·        Understanding of video compression and various codecs used by VOD platforms and broadcasters. ·        Ability to work independently while managing a heavy workload. ·        Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines. ·        Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. ·        Excellent oral and written communication skills. ·        Attention to detail. ·        A positive, can-do attitude and team player. ·        Ability to work flexible shifts (AM, PM, Weekends).
