Perform daily pre and post trip inspections. Interact courteously with your customers Other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Plan for the following labor: Requires moderate physical work with occasional heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 75 pounds. Entering/exiting high set truck. Walking. Moderate noise level. Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions. Title: Seasonal Truck Driver - CDL Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly Reports To: Director of Operations Location: Roseville, CA Approved By: Dave Martinez, Executive Director Approval Date: SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Truck Driver, under the direction of the Associate Director of Operations, is responsible for warehouse product care including, receiving, storage, distribution, pickup and/or delivery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Drives food bank vehicles to make product pickup and/or deliveries to agencies and affiliate programs. • Loads and unloads trucks at the food bank location and other outreach locations. • Produces and maintains accurate documentation, including trip/mileage sheets, pre and post trip inspection forms and all DOT related documentation • Maintains a clean driving record and up-to-date Driver’s License. • Reads pick lists and other applicable documents to fill orders. • Transports product from receiving area to storage or to other designated areas in the warehouse. • Sorts and places product on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, and product code. • Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated areas. • Marks product with identifying information. • Weighs or counts inward or outward product where/when needed. • Provides excellent customer service to agencies, donors, and/or clients. • Assists with moving or distributing inventory or vehicles as needed. • Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility and accurate inventory. • Safely operates all warehouse equipment. • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
