COSTUME SHOP MANAGER Ideal Start Date: August 2025 Florida Studio Theatre, a professional LORT D regional Theatre in Sarasota, FL is seeking a full time Costume Shop Manager. Design experience a plus and design opportunities are very possible. This role reports to the Director of Production. Responsibilities include: • Supervising a full-time Assistant, intern and overhire stichers. • Working as shop manager to help organize workroom, Overseeing wardrobe and maintenance. • Budgeting for a production season. • Cutting and draping/patterning, stitching, and costume construction. • Planning work for staff, Overhire stitchers, interns and volunteers. • Handling of purchase orders. • Collaborating with Guest Designers on shopping/buying for the season. Strong organizational and management skills are also required. FST produces seven mainstage shows, three cabaret shows, a Stage III Series, three children’s shows and many new play workshops annually. Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000/yr Benefits include: Health Insurance (option to add vision and dental), 401k (after one year of employment, with 25% employer match), paid vacation, paid parental leave, social security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment insurance, comp tickets to every show and restaurant discount.
