Assembly Operator HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 32 facilities in eight countries. Currently, we are seeking an Assembly Operator to become a part of the HIROTEC team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, while following all safety procedures, production processes, and company policies. Assembly of components and sub-components, which includes manual or automated operation of machinery or tools. Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections. Complete required production documentation, manually or by data entry, accurately and timely. Visually inspect and test finished parts to ensure they have been correctly assembled according to quality specifications. Meet productivity requirements/quotas and produce quality parts ensuring products meet customer and internal standards and specifications. Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing. Work under the guidance of supervisor and assembly lead to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner. Perform changeovers and general set ups (torch adjustments, mandrel balls, wiper dies, changeover fixtures, etc.). Monitor equipment for proper functionality/verify poke yokes are working correctly. Report poke yokes not working correctly/bypass and unsafe/defected operations to Supervisor immediately. Provide assistance and training to other operators in their assigned responsibilities. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area. Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and one year of experience and/or training in automotive/manufacturing environment is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Ability to communicate effectively. Job Duties On the RECEIVING side, you will inspect items per the written policy, and receive or reject them using a barcode gun. Once received, you will use this barcode gun to locate the inventory location, and move the items to that location, either by hand cart, or forklift. On the SHIPPING side, you will review the barcode gun for the next order to fill, go to that location, and pick the parts required, scanning the locations as you go with the barcode gun. You will then transport the items, by wheeled cart, pallet jack, or forklift, and package them for shipment. Once orders have been packaged, you will schedule their shipments either via UPS WorldShip or via our fright consolidator CH Robinson. If the orders are to ship via truck, you will load them into the trucks when they arrive via hand truck or forklift as required.
