Requirements Responsibilities Supports the Operations Manager in team development and works with staff at other levels to ensure an efficient workflow and smooth communication to achieve the team's success Follows standard operating procedures established by management Receives, inspects, handles, and stocks inbound products Receives returns, counts and confirms quantities, determines the condition and completes paperwork Assigns delivery tasks to delivery drivers according to the volume of goods in the warehouse Shares knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs Interacts with customers and suppliers, answer questions, and resolving issues Tracks and reporting on operational performance Maintains policy and procedure documents Optimizes operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality standards Assists with the implementation of new processes and procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Position Summary – Thermal Operations Manager The Manager ofThermal Operations will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operational functions of Vivid’s Thermal Spray operations in Santa Clara— including equipment maintenance, processing, manufacturing, applicable technological innovation, implementation of 6-sigma and lean tools. Key Responsibilities Production, Processing and Manufacturing Oversight • Lead and manage thermal spray production operations to ensure timely delivery, consistent quality, and cost efficiency. • Develop and maintain production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Maintenance and Reliability • Supervise Thermal Spray operations facility and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life. • Implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Continuous Improvement & Quality • Work with quality management systems and corrective actions to reduce defects and rework. • Support standardizing processes, documentation, and best practices throughout thermal operations. Qualifications • Strongly prefer leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in technically demanding environments. • Experience and strong abilities to troubleshoot, install and maintain industrial equipment including air Compressors, dust collectors, motors, and a willingness to trouble shoot thermal coating equipment. • Strong understanding of facilities electrical and plumbing installation and maintenance. • Strong technical understanding of surface treatments, paints, or precision finishing processes, or similar processes required. • Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred • Detail-oriented, honest, transparent and resourceful. • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering degree is preferred but not required. Compensation - Salary is dependent on skills and experience $44/hr - $60/hr.
