Job Responsibilities Work with a variety of electrical, pneumatic and electronic instruments to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, composition. Calibrate, repair, maintain and adjust system components, and install and maintain instruments and controls on new or existing equipment. Experience with, but not limited to: changing electric motors, water/vacuum pumps, gear boxes Plastics/Extrusion experience a plus Requirements Requirements Experienced Maintenance Technician with 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferrable in a manufacturing environment Must have strong, logical decision-making skills along with solid time management and multi-tasking skills Must possess strong mechanical aptitude Ability to remain professional under pressure and exhibit a positive attitude. Exhibit sense of ownership and accountability Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally Knowledge of Health and Safety practices with excellent housekeeping and organizational skills Perform various other duties as assigned by Supervisor Working Conditions Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting to 50-75 lbs. Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required. Position Summary – Thermal Operations Manager The Manager ofThermal Operations will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operational functions of Vivid’s Thermal Spray operations in Santa Clara— including equipment maintenance, processing, manufacturing, applicable technological innovation, implementation of 6-sigma and lean tools. Key Responsibilities Production, Processing and Manufacturing Oversight • Lead and manage thermal spray production operations to ensure timely delivery, consistent quality, and cost efficiency. • Develop and maintain production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow optimization. Maintenance and Reliability • Supervise Thermal Spray operations facility and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and extend asset life. • Implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs. Continuous Improvement & Quality • Work with quality management systems and corrective actions to reduce defects and rework. • Support standardizing processes, documentation, and best practices throughout thermal operations. Qualifications • Strongly prefer leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in technically demanding environments. • Experience and strong abilities to troubleshoot, install and maintain industrial equipment including air Compressors, dust collectors, motors, and a willingness to trouble shoot thermal coating equipment. • Strong understanding of facilities electrical and plumbing installation and maintenance. • Strong technical understanding of surface treatments, paints, or precision finishing processes, or similar processes required. • Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred • Detail-oriented, honest, transparent and resourceful. • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering degree is preferred but not required. Qualifications 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility. HACCP and SQF training preferred; familiarity with GMP, SOPs, and internal policies required.
