As an Entry-Level Material Handler / Expeditor, you will support production and operations by ensuring materials and parts are accurately tracked, moved, and delivered on time. This role is ideal for individuals starting their career in manufacturing. Job Description/ Responsibilities: • Read production schedules and work orders to determine material requirements and priorities. • Manage Work Travelers and update as required before moving material to next operation • Communicate with department supervisors to identify and resolve material shortages or delays. • Verify part numbers and inspect materials for damage or discrepancies. • Prepare outgoing shipments to Outside Process Suppliers. • Prepare for meetings with Production Supervisor and Internal Customers. • Interact with all levels of workforce. • Ensure safe work habits and compliance with company safety standards. Perform periodic inventories of plant property, materials, and equipment. Gather information to support inventory records, discrepancies, and assist with corrective actions. Process disposal documentation as required, and post status record changes to maintain control of equipment dispositions. Process material receipts; enter data in the inventory control system; enter receiving and shipping documentation; and notify management of discrepancies with maximum supervision. Follow technical written procedures issued by the Federal Government for requisitioning, receiving, and storing supplies, repair parts, and equipment. Requirements A High School Diploma and (2-3) years of general work experience is required. An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. The applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to follow technical written procedures issued by the Federal Government. Must maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and be able to drive and operate a vehicle (car, truck, van). Further details are list below: Prep lines for shift start up. Answer and fix line calls throughout the day. Tear down, clean and assemble filling equipment. Label machine set up. Coder set up and repairs. Capper set up and repair. Answer line lead repair calls. Must have general filling equipment understanding. Must have attention to detail. Must provide their own general tools (screwdrivers, wrench, plyers and allen wrenches) Some tool purchases are made by the company (i.e., drills, presses, etc.…) There is some building and mechanic maintenance that they need to perform.
