Position Summary The Shipping Clerk is an important member of the Little Sesame team, responsible for ensuring that all samples and ecommerce orders are packaged and shipped with precision, care, and efficiency. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality packaging standards. You will also manage shipping logistics, restock materials, and maintain a clean, organized workspace to support the smooth operation of the shipping department. Success in this role depends on your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities - Pick and pack products to fulfill ecommerce orders and sample orders for product buyers - Ensure all outgoing shipments of products meet company standards - Inspect products to reduce or eliminate damage, following proper handling procedures. - Receive all perishable and non-perishable products from outside vendors and other storage facilities - Verify accurate count and product specs and notify appropriate personnel of low stocks - Accurately rotate stock, maintaining the integrity of the product by ensuring it is in the correct environment - Clean and level pallets for inventory - Completed, load, and ship all orders the same day - Perform other related duties Physical Demands and Work Environment - Work in a cold environment with temperatures ranging from 34-40 degrees Fahrenheit - Lift and move items up to 50 pounds - Stand/walk for up to 8 hours - Regularly bend, lift, stretch and reach both below the waist and above the head - Have the personal strength and stamina to walk briskly for most of the day throughout the facility Qualifications - 1+ year of warehouse or freezer experience preferred - Reliable transportation required - Experience with Shopify and Shipfare a plus - Strong organizational, communication, and basic math skills. - Able to multitask, manage time effectively, and work with urgency to meet deadlines. - Dependable, with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to teamwork. - Flexible to work various hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Comfortable working in cold environments (40°F or below) and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stretching, and standing/walking for extended periods.
