This position has a schedule of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with a 1-hour lunch period. Pay starts at $20.00/hour Vinmar Recycling Solutions is a plastic recycler located in Belmont, NC. We are seeking a detail-oriented Incoming Materials Technician to join our dynamic team in the plastics manufacturing sector. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that all incoming materials meet the high standards required for our production processes. You will be responsible for the inspection, testing, and documentation of materials procured from various suppliers, ensuring they are compliant with our specifications and industry standards. This position demands a meticulous approach to quality control, as any discrepancies could impact production quality and timelines. You will also collaborate closely with our procurement and production teams to assist in the efficient handling of materials, troubleshooting any issues as they arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of material properties, possess excellent analytical skills, and be proficient in using various measurement and testing equipment. #VRS Responsibilities Inspect and test incoming materials for compliance with specifications. Document and maintain accurate records of inspections and test results. Collaborate with the procurement team to resolve any material quality issues. Perform routine tests on materials to assess physical and chemical properties. Coordinate with quality manager for any non-conformance issues and follow-up actions. Utilize measurement and testing equipment effectively to ensure accurate results. Assist in the development of quality control procedures for incoming materials. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred. Proven experience in quality control or materials inspection within the plastics industry. Familiarity with measurement and testing equipment used in material analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and suppliers. Basic computer skills, including experience with MS Office and data entry software.
