Follow blueprints, specifications, and detailed instructions to produce precise coils. Load materials, adjust machine settings, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Wind wire around cores/forms to exact specifications. Use hand tools to cut, strip, and shape wire. Assemble components and perform quality checks. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and a continuous improvement mindset. Requirements 🧠 What You Bring High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read job instructions and perform basic math. Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred. Comfortable using manual and powered hand tools. Able to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments. Hoist/crane experience and forklift certification are a plus. Safety-first attitude and strong attention to detail. Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and physical exam.   🛠️ Working Conditions & Requirements Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors. Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed. Position: Maintenance Supervisor (Ammonia Refrigeration) Type: Salary Reports to: Maintenance Manager Education: GED (Min.) (required);Associates degree (preferred / not required) Refrigeration coursework / certification / formal training (preferred) Experience: Min. of 3 years work experience in refrigeration equipment & systems OR related field Min. 2 years’ maintenance leadership experience / training (required) General: The ammonia refrigeration maintenance supervisor directs, oversees, and drives the day-to-day repairs, troubleshooting, and PM activities of the plant’s ammonia refrigeration system. This working supervisor oversees and actively participates in the work of 10-12 ammonia refrigeration techs. (Direct reports).  The role partners with process maintenance, production, & quality to ensure 24/7 ammonia refrigeration systems meet the needs of site operations. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager and primarily works M-F schedule, with flexibility to cover early/ late shift, short-notice overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed Specific Duties / Responsibilities: Supervise and oversee daily ammonia refrigeration operations. Ensure compliance with state and federal refrigeration regulations and codes. Promote the team's safety-first mindset and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Apply refrigeration knowledge to install & start-up refrigeration equipment per specifications. Guide and support team; coordinate resources in troubleshooting repairs and preventative maintenance (PMs) for ammonia refrigeration system. Keep team focused on priorities; assist with refrigeration system operation and ensure team shares knowledge and cross-trains. Collaborate with vendors and parts room team to manage inventory / supplies for refrigeration systems. Exhibit knowledge and perform work related to Process Safety management (PSM), Frick computer and ice making systems. Utilize / train team members on the work order system, logs and documentation to track PMs, repairs and PSM tasks. Other duties as assigned by Manager   Requirements Skills/Abilities/Attributes: Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial setting 3+ years of hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems & regulatory compliance Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities to positively influence team performance Self-directed team player; able to work effectively in fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with various levels Flexible to work varying schedules, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements: Work safely in varying conditions –hot, cold, wet; e.g., 35-40 / 100 degrees Lift / move up to 40 lbs.; occasionally 50 lbs.
