I have 2 3 legged chinchillas yes you read that right!!! one I adopted when he was four months old his name is chile. We’ve had him for 6 years now since he was four months old. He does not bite. He was the run of the litter. He is a short trail chinchilla which means he can’t jump as high if he had his four legs. the lady who had him did not have the proper cage and his leg was caught in the ramp so it tangled up in the cage while she was at work so the vet had to amputate. Wanda is 3 years old a long tail so she has had four litters of babies she is probably pregnant again. Almost a year ago we got her a hammock from PetSmart and her leg got caught in it so she also had to have her leg taken off. Wanda has never bit me but if you stick a finger in there they might if it’s feeding time. They are not mean chinchillas , I know it’s ironic they both are like that with their legs They have both been exposed to cats and small dogs, but they do not like the cats near their cage. They try to bite them. They have a small cage they don’t have their big cage anymore they need a new one so you would have to get them the big cage, due to our personal life issues they have not been exercised properly and need more love and attention I can no longer provide. Rehoming fee of 100 to ensure a good home I will ask questions to be sure that you are educated on chinchillas please ensure that you have a stable good home and that you can provide the proper care for them.
