  Main Duties and Purpose of Position: •       Support installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of Hexagon Smart 3D (S3D) software and associated applications. •       Administer Smart 3D project environments, model databases, and reference data under established system architecture. •       Maintain consistency in naming conventions, project hierarchies, and rules within the Project Management module. •       Assist in the setting up and maintenance of site environments and catalog databases using Project Management and database tools (Oracle/MS SQL). •       Provide S3D support across all engineering disciplines (Piping, Structural, Equipment, HVAC, Cable Tray). •       Assist with integration workflows involving SmartPLANT Foundation (SPF), Smart Instrumentation (SPI), and Smart Electrical (SPEL) as applicable. (Optional) •       Coordinate with IT or other admin groups for resolving integration or interface issues. •       Serve as a technical point of contact for Smart 3D user issues. •       Troubleshoot and resolve modeling issues, reference data errors, and system behavior within defined scope. •       Collaborate with Hexagon support and internal IT when needed for escalated issues. •       Administer user roles, group assignments, and project access based on company security guidelines. •       Support the application of security protocols to protect sensitive project data and intellectual property. •       Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure S3D access management aligns with current organizational practices and requirements.   •       Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to S3D software, database connectivity, and integration with other systems. •       Act as a key support resource for escalated S3D issues and coordinate with vendor support (e.g., Hexagon) in collaboration with IT or team leads when needed. •       Maintain detailed issue logs and resolution reports to track recurring problems and implement preventive measures. Major Responsibilities and Activities: •       Support enforcement of S3D modeling standards and workflows. •       Conduct user onboarding, refresher training, and documentation walk-throughs as needed. •       Maintain admin guides, support documents, and contribute to system maintenance plans. •       Demonstrate leadership ability and provide direction to peers and lower-level engineers. •       Mentor lower-level engineers and be willing to transfer knowhow. •       Contribute to improvements in S3D workflows, tools, and processes by offering feedback and supporting implementation. •       Collaborate with other engineering teams to support S3D administration needs and promote consistency across projects. •       Support the maintenance and customization of reference data, symbols, piping specifications, and rules under guidance from the project or corporate standards team. •       Assist in managing updates to catalog and specification data based on project requirements. •       Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of reference data used across disciplines (piping, equipment, structure, HVAC, electrical).   Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. They should be experienced in handling model databases, customizing reference data, and configuring project schemas. It’s important to be familiar with how S3D connects with other tools like SmartPLANT Foundation, Smart P&ID, or AVEVA. The role also requires the ability to troubleshoot model issues, manage user access, and keep the system running smoothly. A good understanding of 3D modeling workflows, piping specs, and plant layout is essential. Soft Skills: The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrate effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and be capable of managing multiple priorities while supporting project deadlines
